About the position

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Cardiovascular Specialty at Bristol-Myers Squibb plays a critical role in engaging healthcare providers (HCPs) to drive the adoption of BMS medicines. This field-based position focuses on building strong relationships with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians, ensuring a high-quality customer experience through scientific dialogue and collaboration. The TAS is responsible for promoting approved indications of BMS products, creating demand, and maintaining scientific expertise in assigned therapeutic areas, all while adhering to compliance and business performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for their use.
  • Engages with HCPs to maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Utilizes tools like SOPHIA to derive insights and inform call plans.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs.
  • Gathers and shares relevant insights and information internally to better serve customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced scientific degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to help physicians serve their patients.
  • Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong capability in account management and proven sales performance.
