About the position

The Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS) for Cardiovascular Specialty at Bristol Myers Squibb plays a critical role in engaging with healthcare providers (HCPs) to drive the adoption of BMS medicines. This field-based position focuses on delivering impactful customer experiences through scientific dialogue and collaboration, while prioritizing the safe and appropriate use of BMS products. The TAS is responsible for building strong relationships with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians, ensuring that HCPs receive timely and accurate information about BMS products.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
  • Maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses available tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise in presenting information to HCPs, ensuring medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Engages real-time medical support to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best customer experience for HCPs.
  • Shares relevant insights and information internally to better serve customers.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to help physicians serve their patients.
  • Experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers and office staff.
  • Experience in cardiovascular specialty required.
  • Strong account management skills and proven sales performance track record.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
