About the position

The Therapeutic Account Specialist (TAS) at Bristol Myers Squibb plays a critical role in engaging Health Care Providers (HCPs) to drive the adoption of BMS medicines. This field-based position focuses on delivering impactful customer experiences through scientific dialogue and collaboration with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians. The TAS is responsible for promoting BMS products, maintaining strong professional relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulations while achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for their use.
  • Engages with HCPs to maintain a high level of scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses available tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise in presenting information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains expertise on emerging data for approved indications and engages medical support for inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to enhance the Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
  • Shares relevant insights internally to improve customer service.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to assist physicians.
  • Experience building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in oncology preferred.
  • Strong account management skills and proven sales performance track record.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
