About the position

The Senior Transportation Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing driver compensation programs from inception to implementation. This role involves evaluating compensation policies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing market analyses to support compensation initiatives. The analyst will work closely with various departments to validate data, test compensation programs, and communicate findings effectively to HR managers and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate driver-related compensation programs and policies for all business units.
  • Develop consistency for foodservice and grocery compensation practices.
  • Load driver compensation tables and audit for accuracy in PeopleSoft.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, MBIS, and Payroll to validate data loads.
  • Test compensation programs in PeopleSoft and develop test scenarios for other departments.
  • Analyze logistics and payroll data to make compensation recommendations.
  • Develop complex data reporting using PeopleSoft Query, Excel, or other tools.
  • Update and distribute compensation communications and market pricing information.
  • Stay updated on compensation laws and driver regulations for compliance.
  • Build relationships with corporate partners and field operations to understand needs and develop solutions.
  • Conduct cyclical and seasonal analyses for policy changes regarding pay components.
  • Assist the Compensation team with the development and enhancement of compensation policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, preferably with an emphasis in logistics, accounting, finance, or mathematics.
  • 4 or more years of logistics, driver compensation, and/or driver pay experience.
  • Advanced level math and analytical skills.
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially Excel.
  • Experience with WorkDay.
  • Experience writing, interpreting, and analyzing query data.
  • Strong project management, decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to drivers, compensation, and HR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Compensation Professional preferred.
  • Senior level experience in Compensation, Financial Analysis, or Data Analysis preferred.
