About the position

The Senior Treasury Analyst position is a key role within the global Treasury Business Sustain team at General Motors. This position focuses on maintaining a strong control environment and driving continuous process improvement across GM Treasury systems. The analyst will provide daily global business support related to Treasury transaction processing and will work closely with various teams to ensure effective treasury operations and capital market activities. The role requires independent work under tight deadlines and strong collaboration with other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Support a strong control environment and lead continuous process improvement across GM Treasury systems.
  • Provide daily global business support related to Treasury transaction processing.
  • Maintain system configuration data, security access, and profiles for the treasury management system WallStreet Suite (WSS).
  • Oversee and execute controls within Treasury Operations.
  • Analyze, document, and monitor FX rate management flows through GM's systems.
  • Verify and process daily investment trades.
  • Manage the analysis, application, and implementation of new and existing process and systems controls.
  • Support GM Treasury Business Continuity plan.
  • Assist with WallStreet Suite global upgrades.
  • Develop an understanding of GM Treasury applications and business processes.
  • Implement global treasury data governance processes in coordination with the treasury management system implementation.
  • Track Business Sustain request turnaround time and implement enhancements to meet business expectations.
  • Complete annual risk assessment and plan to remediate identified risks.
  • Perform semi-annual global bank account confirmation/reconciliation.
  • Ensure adherence to GM policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Develop and present data to leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in Treasury Operations Compliance and control procedures.
  • Ability to structure presentations in a straightforward and efficient manner.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient knowledge of WallStreet Suite (WSS).
  • Working knowledge of Treasury systems.
  • Experience with PowerBI, PowerQuery, SQL or similar query tools.
  • Master's in Business Administration or related advanced degree or financial certification.
  • Ability to quickly understand complex processes and provide direction regarding impacts on accounting, processes, and controls.
  • Strong internal controls experience with emphasis on process and system controls.
  • Effective communication skills across the organization.
