The Senior Financial Analyst supporting Dominium's Treasury group plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the company's financial health. This role requires a broad understanding of liquidity management, financial forecasting, and enterprise-level cash flow analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to view financial data from a holistic perspective and contribute to Dominium's long-term financial planning and stability. The Senior Financial Analyst will coordinate with various teams including Development, Tax, Legal, Insurance and Risk, Partner Services, and Corporate Accounting to maintain and enhance an accurate enterprise-level cash flow forecast. This forecast is essential for liquidity management and investment decision-making. The analyst will assist in managing the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs, take ownership of the 5-year long-term forecast, and prepare and present detailed treasury reports to senior leaders. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and negotiating banking relationships, managing debt and credit facilities, and supporting internal investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Development, Tax, Legal, Insurance and Risk, Partner Services, and Corporate Accounting teams to maintain and enhance an accurate enterprise-level cash flow forecast.
  • Assists in managing the company's cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and investment needs.
  • Takes ownership of the 5-year long-term forecast, including ongoing updates, enhancements, and presentation to senior leaders.
  • Utilizes strong financial statement analysis skills to contribute to forecasting and ad-hoc projects that require a broad understanding of Dominium's financial landscape.
  • Prepares and presents detailed treasury reports to senior leaders, offering insights into the company's financial health and potential areas for improvement.
  • Assists with maintaining and negotiating banking relationships, managing debt and credit facilities, and ensuring compliance with financial covenants.
  • Supports internal investment opportunities, including loan originations, low-income housing tax credit investments, and daily/weekly investments for available enterprise liquidity.
  • Participates in the development and growth of treasury team members, providing guidance and support in areas related to financial modeling and analysis.
  • Works closely with the Corporate Services department and other teams to ensure departmental and organizational goals are met.
  • Takes on other responsibilities as needed to support the Treasury function and Dominium's broader financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business finance or related field is required.
  • 2-3 years of financial analysis or treasury experience is required.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting, with a proven ability to understand complex financial data and trends.
  • Proficiency in Excel for advanced financial modeling and analysis is required.
  • Ability to view and analyze financial information from a broad perspective, understanding the interconnectedness of various financial factors.
  • Ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Direct experience in commercial real estate, affordable housing, or loan maintenance/origination is preferred.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and task-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles to effectively interact with various stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
