About the position

We are seeking a Senior UI Designer for our education client, who will play a crucial role in creating high-impact, user-centered digital experiences. This full-time temp-to-hire remote position requires a deep understanding of branding and web design processes, as well as collaboration with a diverse team of UX designers, content designers, and project managers. The ideal candidate will guide clients in achieving their visual goals while ensuring that the UI design aligns with the defined strategy and enhances brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Create original, industry-leading websites using Figma, ensuring UI design aligns with strategy and brand identity.
• Guide clients to the best design solutions, taking initiative rather than simply following orders.
• Maintain punctuality and organization in file management and project execution.
• Lead visual work and collaborate directly with large client stakeholder groups.
• Showcase proven experience in creating brand identity systems and UI designs for large organizations through a strong portfolio.
• Collaborate with UX designers, content designers, project managers, and researchers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying tasks that need to be done and planning accordingly.
• Engage in active listening to understand client needs and concerns, fostering trust in your design guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of UI/UX experience.
• Proven UI/UX design expertise with a strong portfolio demonstrating design process and user-centered design.
• Deep understanding of HCI principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles and design handoff processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Figma features, components, and collaboration functionalities.
• Ability to independently manage projects with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable collaborating with remote project teams nationwide.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of advanced animation techniques using CSS, JavaScript, or other animation libraries.
• Familiarity with content systems management platforms like Drupal, WordPress, AEM, and Cascade.
