About the position

The Senior UI/UX Researcher position at Sony Electronics Inc. focuses on enhancing user experience through comprehensive research and analysis. This contract role involves planning, managing, and conducting UI/UX research to improve various aspects of Sony products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, utilizing their expertise in user-centered design and usability evaluations to drive product development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage research with stakeholders including surveys and usability test sessions.
• Recruit participants and schedule sessions for research activities.
• Create discussion guides, moderate sessions, analyze data, and create reports.
• Design surveys, analyze results, and create comprehensive reports.
• Design and develop prototypes or troubleshoot existing prototypes.
• Manage stakeholder requests and expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency in Qualtrics for user research.
• Basic knowledge of Figma or similar development tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to focus on customer needs and user-centered design principles.
• Knowledge of UI industry standards for interface design and user testing methodologies.
• Experience with statistical analysis of user research and survey creation.
• Hands-on knowledge in designing and developing prototypes.
