Responsibilities

• Develop end to end high performing applications for user interfaces for monitoring, controlling, modifying and reporting on several ground system components.
• Design RESTful APIs to integrate with various systems.
• Develop and maintain frameworks for building, unit testing and deployment of pertinent subsystems.
• Work with relational database schema definition and query design/optimization.
• Write specifications and requirements defining application functions, features, and goals.
• Maintain preexisting end user software and applications.
• Proactively troubleshoot/debug/resolve application and performance issues.
• Work within the established Globalstar Agile/Scrum development methodology using Atlassian products.
• Independently research architectural software issues and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (hard science required)
• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Software Developer
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Telecom
• 5 to 7 years of experience working with web applications development
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Python/Shell/Java/JavaScript
• 5 to 7 years of experience with relational databases
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Linux operating system
• 5 to 7 years of experience with GIT, Bitbucket tools

Nice-to-haves

• Strong knowledge of UI/web technologies
• Familiarity with AWS components and services
• Familiarity with CI/CD frameworks such as GIT, Bitbucket, and Jenkins
• Familiarity with REST API tools (Swagger, etc.)
• Good working knowledge of RDBs (Oracle, MySQL and associated tools)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
