About the position

The Senior UI/Visual Designer at CoreLogic is responsible for leading the enterprise UI strategy, visual design, and design patterns. This role involves collaborating with UX designers and engineers to create user interfaces, conducting user research, and maintaining the design system. The designer will also work closely with marketing to ensure branding is effectively translated into scalable solutions, while advocating for user experience throughout the design process.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and exemplify simplicity, communication, feedback, respect, and courage
  • Be an active member and leader of the CoreLogic design community to help grow and hone our design practices
  • Collaborate with UX designers and engineers to design and build user interfaces
  • Assist with user research, interviews, surveys, and usability studies, translating findings into wireframes and prototypes
  • Learn from others and teach others, sharing knowledge is key
  • Be a user experience advocate and champion of the user
  • Be a core member of UX Special Projects and Initiatives Team
  • Create illustrations, animations, and icons as identified by the UI Lead
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a UI designer, interaction designer, creative director, or similar role
  • A strong online portfolio demonstrating past work experience, original icon designs, extensive data visualization work, and relevant user-centered design solutions
  • BA/BS or greater in graphic design or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Expert understanding of principles of interface design, use of interactive technologies and user-centered design methods and best practices
  • Demonstrated appreciation of and hyperfocus on the fine nuances of visual design
  • Extensive experience working in Figma and a curiosity for new innovative tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Extensive experience with Design Systems, style guides, design patterns, atomic design methodology
  • Extensive experience with Accessibility and Inclusive design
  • Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Competent command of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
  • Understanding of Front-end frameworks like Angular or React is a big plus
  • Experience with motion design and ability to create animations in After Effects are a bonus
