About the position

The Senior Underwriter, Inland Marine at Chubb is responsible for underwriting individual risks while ensuring profitability for the company. Responsibilities

• Select, analyze, and underwrite individual risks utilizing corporate pricing and reinsurance techniques.
• Provide quality and timely input on assigned projects to support profitable growth.
• Monitor results of the overall book of business and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Make customer presentations and visits to develop positive, long-term broker relationships.
• Participate in audits and underwriting meetings as required.
• Cross-sell opportunities within other Chubb divisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of coverage, terms, and conditions in underwriting.
• Ability to assess risk exposures and identify appropriate controls.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements and ratios for risk analysis.
• Understanding of loss trends and ratemaking in actuarial fundamentals.
• Excellent marketing and communication skills for selling and negotiating.
