About the position
As a Senior User Experience Designer at Oracle, you will be integral to the Database Tools User Experience team, focusing on enhancing Cloud Database User Interfaces. Your role involves guiding the creation of new user experiences, identifying and resolving issues in existing products, and advocating for users. You will collaborate with various teams, produce user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes, and present your work to stakeholders. This position requires a thoughtful and talented designer who can deliver high-quality designs in a fast-paced environment, while also extending the design language across Oracle's products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply software design and usability principles in the investigation of technical problems.
- Create user profiles with an emphasis on human error control and visual interaction.
- Provide product usability evaluation and support to product development teams.
- Assist in developing design concepts and implementation, providing input on user design considerations.
- Produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for products in development.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- Typically 5 years of software UX or related experience required.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with accessibility and interaction design.
- Familiarity with human factors and visual design principles.
- Ability to self-teach and embrace a growth mindset.
