About the position

Peloton is seeking a Senior User Researcher to support the innovation, iteration, and optimization of our Bike, Tread, and Row hardware. This role involves working closely with Product Managers, Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Product Designers to understand user interactions with Peloton hardware products through user research and testing. The Senior User Researcher will also conduct research on software and the interaction between hardware and software as needed, reporting directly to the Director of User Research.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve the process for organizing user research and testing across multiple product teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Industrial Designers, and Engineers to identify hardware user research goals and execute research to address those goals.
  • Scope, plan, and execute software research as needed in collaboration with Product Managers and Designers.
  • Partner with research operations to source participants for user testing and manage logistics for testing sessions.
  • Conduct user research for hardware and software, including design mockups, prototypes, and finished products.
  • Compile and present research findings to relevant partners to inform strategic product decisions.
  • Enhance Peloton's user-experience research infrastructure for seamless testing and analysis.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using various methodologies to produce insights.
  • Document and track findings from research for future reference.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of User Research and Testing experience
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and conducting hardware and software user research
  • Experience writing and conducting user interviews
  • Ability to analyze research findings and report concise insights and recommendations
  • Experience developing processes to organize work across multiple teams
  • Familiarity with remote and in-person user research methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to provide work samples focused on User Research and Testing

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Anthropometry, or Human Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
  • Experience writing, fielding, and analyzing quantitative surveys
