About the position

As a Senior User Experience Researcher at FIS, you will be instrumental in shaping product direction and user-centered design within a dynamic fintech environment. This role involves leading high-impact research initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally with various teams, and driving actionable insights to influence product strategy and enhance user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan, and execute mixed-method research to shape product strategies across banking and fintech products.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, and other teams from ideation to product launch, ensuring research insights drive innovative solutions.
• Lead design workshops, sprints, and collaborative planning processes to align stakeholders and build empathy across the organization.
• Analyze and communicate data through storytelling, creating compelling presentations that inform decision-making at all levels.
• Continuously refine the product experience by integrating new research insights into the product development cycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience conducting end-to-end UX research, including usability testing, surveys, ethnographic studies, and concept testing.
• Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Strong communication skills to translate research findings into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure research is central to product development.
• Strong storytelling and facilitation skills to influence key product decisions.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple research projects independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
• A master's degree is a plus.
• Experience in the tech or fintech sectors (e.g., banking, SaaS, mobile products) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools, advanced analytics platforms, or global research practices is a plus.
