About the position

The Senior UX Designer for Amazon's ADX team will be responsible for creating innovative user experiences for both internal and third-party customers within the transportation and delivery services ecosystem. This role emphasizes a human-centered design approach, leveraging customer insights and UX methodologies to develop effective solutions. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and create new ones, ensuring that designs are user-friendly and aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and propose innovative solutions for a variety of product design challenges including mobile, responsive web, and person-to-person interactions.
• Lead the design for improvements of existing experiences and new experiences while defining strategy for future iterations.
• Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.
• Advocate for design solutions by contextualizing inputs that influenced design decisions, including business and user goals, demographic data, and research findings.
• Develop high-level and detailed storyboards, mock-ups, interaction flows, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Deliver user-friendly and aesthetically engaging work that produces results.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
• Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features through user research and performance metrics assessment.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
• Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.
• Contribute to the group's shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience
• An available online portfolio
• Experience acquiring user data through usability studies and user research
• Experience designing for both mobile and web/laptop

Nice-to-haves

• Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
• Experience using design systems with tools like Figma in a fast-paced environment
