About the position

The Senior UX Designer on Amazon's ADX Middle Mile team will be responsible for creating innovative design solutions for transportation and delivery services. This role involves collaborating with product managers, engineers, and executives to enhance user experiences through a human-centered design process, leveraging customer insights and UX methodologies. The designer will focus on both internal and third-party customer products, aiming to deliver user-friendly and aesthetically engaging solutions that drive product decisions and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Plan and propose innovative solutions for a variety of product design challenges including mobile, responsive web, and person-to-person interactions.
• Lead the design for improvements of existing experiences and new experiences while defining strategy for future iterations.
• Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.
• Advocate for design solutions by contextualizing inputs that influenced design decisions, including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.
• Develop high-level and detailed storyboards, mock-ups, interaction flows, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Deliver user-friendly and aesthetically engaging work that produces results.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
• Assess and optimize performance of new and existing features through user research and performance metrics assessment.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
• Present design work to multiple teams and senior leadership for review and feedback.
• Contribute to the group's shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience
• Available online portfolio
• Experience acquiring user data through usability studies and user research
• Experience designing for both mobile and web/laptop

Nice-to-haves

• Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
• Experience using design systems with tools like Figma in a fast-paced environment
