About the position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. We are seeking a talented and passionate senior user experience designer to join our growing design and research studio here at Amazon Web Service (AWS). AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries around the world. Our UX team works to enable our users, from big enterprises to your next-door neighbor, to harness the power of the cloud. If you want to work on some of the world's biggest design challenges, and make tools that builders will use to create the great products of tomorrow, join our team. As a user experience designer, you will have a significant impact on our business as you will contribute to the design direction for the Perimeter protection group. This group is responsible for securing customers' networks and protecting their applications and IT environments with AWS network firewall tooling. In an age where it is increasingly common to hear about hacks and data leaks, you will get to explore the complex space of networking and security and build products and services that will help make the web a secure place for everyone. Throughout the strategy, design, and development lifecycle, you will work collaboratively with a strong design team, engineers, product managers, and executives. In addition, you will be expected to be a design thought leader and mentor other designers. We care about your career growth. Once you join the team, you and your manager will jointly craft a career plan and you'll review it regularly to ensure you're on track to meet your goals. Whether your goals are to explore new technologies, take on bigger opportunities, or get to the next level, we'll help you get there. Our business is growing fast and our people will grow with it. Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren't focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we're happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.
