About the position

As a Senior UX Designer at Walmart, you will be part of the design team responsible for creating innovative web experiences and mobile app features for millions of customers and associates. Your role will involve transforming complex workflows into user-friendly designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and championing the Design Thinking process to enhance customer experiences across various platforms. You will leverage your storytelling skills to present design concepts and rationales effectively, ensuring that the final products meet both user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex workflows into easy-to-use experience designs.
• Collaborate with partner teams and facilitate conversations to create concepts.
• Run design sprints and build rapid prototypes to leverage collective creativity.
• Present design vision and rationale to cross-functional partners and leadership.
• Create and champion highly usable experiences before delivering pixel-perfect designs.
• Balance business goals with user needs in design solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and experiment in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with the Design System team to expand the component library.
• Champion the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.

Requirements

• Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in product design.
• A fantastic portfolio showcasing design work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest or experience in healthcare and e-commerce domains.

Nice-to-haves

• Design certification (e.g., IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate).
• Master's degree in UI/UX Design or related area.
• Experience in driving product development in a user experience area.
• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
