About the position

The Senior UX Designer for Diablo Immortal will play a crucial role in enhancing the player experience for this mobile action RPG. This position involves collaborating with various teams to design and iterate on gameplay features, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience. The role is hybrid, allowing for both on-site and remote work, primarily based in Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with game designers to translate game system requirements into user experiences.
• Work with external partners to execute high-quality user experiences for a global audience.
• Craft UX artifacts such as flows, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate design solutions.
• Design and visualize user interface screens, transitions, animations, and VFX.
• Establish and maintain patterns for flows, layouts, and interactions.
• Work closely with artists and visual designers to create a consistent visual identity and language.
• Iterate and evolve designs based on player feedback.
• Champion Blizzard's core values, especially 'Commit to Quality'.

Requirements

• 5+ years working as a UX designer in the gaming or interactive design field.
• Experience designing UX for multiple shipped mobile products.
• Expert knowledge of mobile devices and OS-specific design patterns (iOS/Android).
• Expert knowledge of UX process and usability design principles.
• Strong visual design skills and experience working closely with artists.
• Ability to communicate efficiently within a dynamic, cross-discipline, iterative team environment.
• Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive demeanor and ability to receive and provide objective feedback.
• Awareness of current trends in user interface design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience playing Diablo Immortal and other action RPGs.
