About the position

As a Senior UX Designer in Employee Services Technology (ES Tech) at Amazon, you will be responsible for designing innovative HR products that enhance the employee experience for millions of Amazonians. This role involves leading the design vision and strategy, advocating for accessible design, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address customer needs effectively. Your work will span from initial concepts to final delivery, ensuring that the products are user-centered and aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product experiences that are accessible, delight customers, and deliver on business objectives.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs with detailed specifications, and functional prototypes for mobile and web interfaces.
• Champion a user-centered design culture through creative collaborations.
• Build cross-functional partnerships to deliver seamless customer-centric experiences.
• Present design work to cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership for feedback and review.
• Develop and drive the adoption of design guidelines, best practices, processes, and tools across the organization.
• Contribute to the professional development of your team and colleagues through coaching, mentorship, and modeling Amazon's leadership principles.

Requirements

• 6+ years of design experience
• Have an available online portfolio
• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Nice-to-haves

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows
• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
