About the position

The Sr UX Designer role at Amazon's World Wide Operations Security (WWOS) team focuses on building and maintaining innovative software products that enhance security and loss prevention across Amazon's operations. This position requires a hands-on designer who can establish a vision and strategy for user experiences, leading the delivery of wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, and specifications for various WWOSTech products. The ideal candidate will excel in creativity, strategic thinking, and collaboration, ensuring that design is not only visually appealing but also functional and user-centered.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer problems and design delightful solutions with measurable impact.
• Work closely with product and business teams to develop use cases and high-level requirements.
• Create design artifacts like user flows, wireframes, visual mocks, and prototypes to communicate ideas.
• Develop and maintain detailed user-interface and interaction specifications.
• Independently present work, socialize ideas, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Partner with technology teams to leverage platform scale without compromising core experience principles.
• Measure the success and effectiveness of UX innovations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of design experience.
• An available online portfolio demonstrating experience in creating user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.
• Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
• Experience acquiring user data through usability studies and user research, creating personas and journey maps.
• Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards.
• Experience with hands-on visual design.
