About the position

The Senior User Experience Designer at Amica will focus on designing and optimizing the user experience of Amica.com. This role involves creating best-in-class user experiences through effective information architecture, interaction design, and visual design. The designer will conduct research, collaborate with stakeholders, and leverage user research tools to enhance the digital user experience, ultimately contributing to the growth of Amica.com.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver intuitive and impactful digital experiences, prioritizing a user-centered approach.
  • Responsible for Amica.com UX design deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to corporate style and branding guidelines.
  • Ensure digital experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs and expectations of the target audience.
  • Lead UX projects of all sizes and complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into front-end specifications creating user flows, wireframes, mockups, visual designs and interactive prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Consistently connect and collaborate with our enterprise UX team to ensure consistency across all user touch points.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to identify user pain points and opportunities and validate concepts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in UX and foster best practices, stay on top of emerging trends and technologies and incorporate them into our processes and methodologies.
  • Analyze user research data and trends to identify opportunities.
  • Monitor both Amica's and our competitors' online activities to suggest enhancements and use data and research to inform UX direction.
  • Contribute to emerging team processes and deliverables including evolving UX standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in UX design, with a focus on digital experiences.
  • Experience with and UX responsibility for public facing websites for a consumer audience is a must.
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience a plus.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience with user-centric thinking, and a clear grasp of visual design (e.g. process flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, etc.)
  • Proficiency in tools associated with web design work.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to quickly organize and manage multiple efforts.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of user-centered design concepts and best practices, and user-centered research methods and best practices.
  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines and best practices is preferred.
