About the position

The Senior UX Designer at Maddisoft is responsible for creating intuitive and elegant digital user experiences by simplifying complex processes. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, conducting user research, and presenting design work to senior leaders. The designer will work closely with Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify problems and develop digital solutions, while also formulating information architecture and creating wireframes and prototypes based on research insights.

Responsibilities

• Simplify complex processes into intuitive and elegant digital user experiences.
• Partner directly with Process Owners and SMEs to understand underlying problems and develop digital solutions.
• Collaborate with a global team of Product Owners, Stakeholders, Developers, and Architects.
• Present design work to senior leaders for review and feedback.
• Conduct user research using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Translate business priorities into research questions and design insights.
• Formulate information architecture and navigation for complex data structures.
• Create wireframes, flows, and user prototypes based on research and data.

Requirements

• A relevant degree such as Bachelor's or Master's in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Product Design, Industrial Design or Engineering.
• Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role.
• Senior-level experience required, demonstrating expertise in creating products that enhance user experiences, ideally within the energy/engineering sector.
• An expert in Figma.
• A strong understanding of UML.
• An excellent interviewer.
• A strong understanding of design principles and research methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience of being a Product Owner or Business Analyst, ideally within the energy/engineering sector.
• Proficient in CSS, HTML, JavaScript.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, After Effects.
