About the position

The Senior UX Designer at Freshworks is responsible for designing user-centered solutions that enhance the overall experience of Freshworks.com. This role focuses on ensuring customer-centric approaches while achieving business goals through collaboration with cross-functional teams. The designer will conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and apply design thinking methodologies to solve complex problems, all while maintaining a high standard of design quality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis to gain insights into user needs and behaviors.
  • Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for new features and improvements, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Develop interaction models and design solutions that enhance usability and are aesthetically pleasing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and present design solutions.
  • Plan and execute usability testing sessions to validate design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems and style guides for consistency across Freshworks.com.
  • Apply design thinking methodologies to create innovative solutions that align with business goals.
  • Create detailed design specifications and documentation to guide development and ensure proper implementation of designs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to improve design processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in UX design with a strong portfolio showcasing design process and outcomes.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, design thinking, interaction design, and usability best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions and rationale.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
  • Continuously explore and evaluate emerging design trends, tools, and technologies.
