About the position
As a Senior Design Technologist at Amazon's Devices and Services Design Group, you will play a pivotal role in the Futures Design team, focusing on creating innovative consumer products and services. Your expertise in front-end technology and UX prototyping will be essential in developing high-quality prototypes that advance the vision of future products. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to bring design concepts to life, ensuring a user-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the vision of future products
- Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Work alongside designers, PMs, engineers, and other experts to drive concepts from idea to implementation
- Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise and supporting your team
- Continuously evaluate and document new standards or patterns that emerge from your work
- Thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment with minimal documentation and technical support
Requirements
- 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
- Have coding samples in front end programming languages
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes
- Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of databases and AWS database services: ElasticSearch, Redshift, DynamoDB
- Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods
