About the position

The Senior UX Researcher at AT&T is responsible for applying both qualitative and quantitative research methods to enhance customer experience. This role involves developing research plans, collecting data, moderating design testing sessions, and delivering insightful reports that inform design principles and standards. The researcher will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that user experiences align with business objectives and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Gather foundational data to ensure a clear and current view of the production CX and its associated friction points.
  • Use a multi-faceted research approach to gather formative data used in the squads discovery phase.
  • Leverage available metrics to monitor the health of the CX and keep the team and business informed.
  • Keep a pulse of the marketplace, potential disruptions, and how AT&T fits into the landscape.
  • Evaluate experiences created in team and outside to ensure it aligns to defined strategy.
  • Roll data points up into a compelling PoV.
  • Facilitate routine experimentation to ensure ideas are being vetted continuously.
  • Collaborate with fellow CX researchers, designers, content writers, and strategists to generate and refine customer experiences.
  • Participate in several projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business objectives and how to balance them with design and user needs.
  • Utilize qualitative research methods including generative, formative, and evaluative methods.
  • Conduct usability testing, ethnographic research, surveys, and competitive analysis.
  • Create point-of-view documents. Employ online research tools, design thinking methods, and quantitative research methods.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, or equivalent degree, in Human Computer Interaction, Market Research, or Industrial Design.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation utilizing qualitative research methods including generative, formative, and evaluative methods; conducting usability testing, ethnographic research, surveys, competitive analysis; creating point-of-view documents; and employing online research tools, design thinking methods, and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
