There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
Gordon Food Service is looking to add a Senior UX/UI Designer to their growing UX/UI team, based out of their Chicago-based design and innovation studio called Relish Works. Senior UX/UI Designers lead UX/UI design on Gordon Food Service digital products (e.g. ecommerce, ordering app, etc). They are advocates for users and customers in the product development process through strong design skills and demonstrated leadership ability. GFS senior designers are product design experts. They have deep design knowledge and experience and demonstrate proficiency in multiple areas across the design discipline – including UX research, wireframes, low- and high-fidelity visual design, animation, prototyping, design systems, accessibility, design documentation, and user testing. They are deeply knowledgeable about the ever-changing UX industry, keep up-to-date on UX design best practices, and advise the digital leadership team on tools and practices as appropriate. Above all, they lead teams that deliver quality work using knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and user interface (UI) designs. GFS senior designers are project leaders. They are organized, self-motivated and navigate ambiguity well. They will work side-by-side with customers and research partners to understand customer behavior, and with business leaders, Product Owners, and IT teams to understand business and technical goals, balancing these to deliver work that wins for all. Our senior designers are capable time managers who can estimate work and manage roadmaps. They align on goals and anti-goals with product and IT teams through daily discussion, and lead them in activities like workshops and design thinking. They ensure that the team’s output is organized and well-documented. They understand the big picture and ensure consistent experiences for users across products. GFS senior designers support the growth of their team members through mentorship and coaching. They support their team through design reviews and constructive feedback, and they contribute to team culture of mutual success and support. They collaborate with fellow designers across Gordon Food Service and Relish Works to advance and evolve the discipline and quality of product design work across the enterprise.
