Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of innovative, data-driven UX and UI designs that deliver engaging and accessible experiences.
  • Collaborate across departments and with leadership to ensure our products align with the company's vision and strategy.
  • Conduct UX discovery sessions, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to define project goals.
  • Develop and document key UX deliverables, including user personas, wireframes, prototypes, and style guides.
  • Ensure design iterations meet accessibility standards for the education industry while providing intuitive, enjoyable user experiences.
  • Create responsive, flexible designs across multiple platforms, browsers, and devices.
  • Drive user testing, gathering feedback and making continuous improvements to enhance the user experience.
  • Mentor and collaborate with the Creative team to foster growth in UX/UI design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Interactive Design, Visual Design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience in UX, UI, or product design, with a proven ability to lead design solutions for desktop and mobile experiences
  • 3+ years of People Management experience
  • Experience designing accessible digital products for children, preferably in the K-6 education industry (teacher and student-facing products)
  • Proficiency in creating interactive designs, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centric designs with a focus on children and adults, visual design skills, and familiarity with current design trends
  • Experience with UX testing and user-centered design methods
  • Ability to effectively present and defend design concepts to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and other design tools
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms like Drupal, along with analytics tools such as Google Analytics
