About the position

The Experience Team at Zoox is dedicated to defining and championing the Human Experience through a human-centered design process. This role focuses on creating and evolving mobile app experiences for riders, emphasizing collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and innovative design solutions. The position involves leading design initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that the design aligns with the company's strategic goals and brand identity.

Responsibilities

• Design mobile app interfaces and interactions that are elegant, accessible, intuitive, and delightful.
• Create, test, and iterate the app information architecture, wireframes, and user journeys.
• Collaborate across the company to prioritize and solve design scenarios, creating impactful solutions.
• Partner with UX Research to design and run research studies, leveraging insights to inform product direction.
• Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of Zoox's design systems and principles.
• Orchestrate complex projects with various cross-functional stakeholders.
• Implement WCAG standards focusing on accessibility.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant design experience in a commercial organization.
• Experience shipping digital products.
• Experience in developing and delivering app design for iOS and Android.
• Proficient in Figma or Sketch and UX prototyping skills.
• Demonstrated experience presenting design strategies with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Expertise in 3D animation techniques to create visually engaging content.
• Experience working in AV, mobility, or automotive industries.
• Experience designing for a wide range of users and abilities.
• IAAP CPACC or equivalent Certification.
