About the position

As a UX Writer at Google Cloud, you will advocate for design by creating meaningful text that enhances product experiences. Your role involves shaping content strategy, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring a cohesive narrative across platforms. You will leverage your writing skills to simplify user interactions and contribute to the overall user experience, while also understanding cloud technology and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive content strategy across a program or domain to solve user, product, and business problems.
  • Deliver innovative content design and information architecture to facilitate user interaction, navigation, and understanding.
  • Write interface text to help users complete their tasks and to improve key business metrics.
  • Manage projects from inception to implementation; identify opportunities, influence priorities, set direction, communicate ideas, and oversee deliverables.
  • Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, technical writers and influence stakeholders and their feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, content design, or related, as well as leading content strategy projects.
  • Experience in UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, or UX writing in an agency setting and interacting with executive leadership.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology organization.
  • Experience delivering content design, information architecture, or UX writing for enterprise products.
  • Experience in managing large projects, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and communicating design decisions.
  • Knowledge of cloud technology and related products, including cloud computing.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
