Responsibilities

• Deliver UX Writing and Content Design for Google Maps, focusing on Maps, Search, and Explore experiences.
• Identify opportunities for writing and content in collaboration with product and design teams.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop product narratives and principles.
• Drive the development of innovative UX writing and content design solutions to address user and business challenges.
• Lead the establishment and improvement of UX writing and content design processes across multiple teams.
• Influence project priorities to align tactical and strategic efforts with project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, content design, or related fields, including leading content strategy projects.
• A portfolio or relevant links showcasing previous work.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, or UX writing in an agency setting with executive leadership interaction.
• 3 years of experience in a cross-functional technology organization.
• Experience defining and influencing writing guidelines and language patterns.
• Experience conducting language and design audits across products.
• Experience in maps or geo-spatial writing, or writing for new domains like AI.
