About the position

The Senior Vehicle Operations Logistics Specialist at Cox Automotive is responsible for managing vehicle transportation logistics, ensuring efficient order processing, and maintaining communication with clients and transporters. This role involves monitoring and resolving escalations, managing data entry, and generating reports related to vehicle transportation. The position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick Up 27 and manual order processing.
• Send AS400 orders to Transporter #9999 (DHL) for non-integrated accounts.
• Check the Master Data View Dashboard and correct any pickup locations and orders after completing Pickup 27.
• Enter any manual orders in AS400 throughout the day.
• Monitor the Client Operations Dashboard every two hours after completing Pickup 27.
• Review escalated orders to Client Success and contact clients as necessary.
• De-escalate orders and remove holds when issues are resolved.
• Monitor units that are escalated to clients for hold release dates and follow up as needed.
• Action AutoIMS emails regarding Trans Delay Holds, Cancellations, and ETA's.
• Follow up on escalations and monitor related issues.
• Compile vehicle transportation related data and generate reports.
• Contact customers to determine vehicle availability and condition.
• Schedule vehicle pick-up and delivery with customers and transporters.
• Reconcile transporter related issues that may arise.
• Notify customer account representatives and transporters of any relevant issues.
• Monitor and report on customer compliance and transporter performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to 7 years in a related field.
• 1-3 years administrative experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment to execute and deliver results.
• Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
• High attention to detail including precise data entry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
