About the position

As a Senior Vendor Operations Analyst at Centene, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the health of our communities by ensuring that our vendors meet the highest quality standards in their outsourced activities. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who will lead the assessment and monitoring of vendors responsible for producing print materials and other services. You will be the subject matter expert in evaluating vendor performance, providing guidance and expertise to Vendor Operations Analysts, and ensuring that all operations align with our organizational goals. Your primary responsibilities will include developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will be used to assess vendor performance, ensuring that quality standards are consistently met. You will conduct thorough analyses of vendor performance, identifying trends and defects, and making informed recommendations to management based on your findings. In addition, you will be responsible for resolving compliance issues and any potential breaches of Protected Health Information (PHI), documenting Incident Reports for senior management review, and working directly with vendors to modify contract language as necessary. You will also manage the Corrective Actions Plan (CAR) portfolio, collaborating with various departments such as Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy to remediate issues and strategize alternative performance parameters for vendors. While this role does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, you will coordinate projects and activities of multiple Vendor Operations Analysts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your commitment to compliance with all policies and standards will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment and monitoring of vendors performing outsourced activities.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess vendor performance.
  • Perform analysis of vendor performance, identifying trends and defects.
  • Make recommendations to management based on vendor performance analysis.
  • Resolve compliance and PHI breach scenarios, documenting Incident Reports for review.
  • Work directly with vendors to modify contract language as necessary.
  • Manage the Corrective Actions Plan (CAR) portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Info Security, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy to manage vendor performance issues.
  • Coordinate projects and activities of multiple Vendor Operations Analysts.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Business, or a related technical/analytical field required.
  • Emphasis in statistics, math, or a related field preferred.
  • Six Sigma black belt or yellow/green belt certification and active participation in black belt program development.
  • Five to ten years in an operations/production position and/or previous management-level experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • PowerBI experience strongly preferred.
