About the position
Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a dynamic and experienced financial professional to serve as Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will lead and manage the University's financial functions, providing financial services and strategies that enhance the academic and research experience of faculty, students, and staff. This role requires exceptional leadership in developing and executing strategies to address complex financial issues, supporting the Chancellor on various financial and strategic matters, and representing the University in the community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the University's financial functions.
- Provide financial services and strategies to enhance academic and research experiences.
- Develop and execute strategies to address complex financial issues.
- Champion and implement a budget model redesign across the campus.
- Support the Chancellor on financial and strategic matters for the Board.
- Interact with a wide range of internal and external constituents.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record of success in a complex financial role in academia, government, or the private sector.
- Expertise in strategic, financial, leadership, and operational skills.
- Advanced degree preferred.
