About the position

The Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Baptist Health Care (BHC) is a key leadership role responsible for advising the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership on all financial matters. The CFO oversees financial activities across the health care system, ensuring strategic direction and operational management to achieve financial goals. This position plays a critical role in financial planning, reporting, revenue cycle management, and IT oversight, while also leading initiatives during acquisitions and large investments.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a key advisor to the President & CEO and BHC leadership team regarding system strategy of all financial and business matters.
• Leads all traditional finance functions for BHC at a best-in-class standard including financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, and revenue cycle management.
• Oversees the organization's fiscal operating results, financial reports, and accounting practices.
• Reports monthly financial performance to the Board and serves as an administrative liaison to the Board's governance and finance committee.
• Develops and implements multi-year business planning model for decision making and strategic planning.
• Manages the selection and execution of capital projects and investments, providing direction on investment strategy.
• Designs and maintains revenue integrity and ensures revenue cycle compliance.
• Provides strategic and tactical direction on managed care contracting strategy and maintains external relationships.
• Manages the system migration toward value-based care contracting.
• Responsible for oversight of Information Technology (IT).
• Fosters communication throughout the Finance and IT division and maintains strong collaborative relationships with senior executive council.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in health care financial management required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
