About the position

The SVP of Home Health Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home health division. As part of the executive team, this position will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, growth and patient care excellence in alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the agency that mirrors the missions and core values of the company.
  • Organize and direct the organization's ongoing operations to assure the availability and provision of care and services.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performance team to ensure alignment with company goals while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide leadership, oversight and guidance to management and staff on matters related to clinical operations, particularly with development of standards of practice, care delivery, policies and procedures, and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Prepare annual budget for assigned area of responsibility and monitor allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for additional or improved services and work methods and procedures to ensure program services are delivered in accordance with policy and organization mission and goals and to meet client and community needs.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass census goals, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure home health operations adheres to all regulatory and compliance standards, maintaining the highest standards of care and service delivery.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset across the organization, ensuring the needs of clients are met with the highest level of satisfaction and care.
  • Leverage technology and data-driven insights to improve service, delivery, operational performance, and clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure coordination with other organization areas and senior leadership, as appropriate, according to organization structure and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree (M. A.) in business, health administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations management.
  • Experience in a senior operations leader in large, complex multi-site post-acute system including home health or hospice.
  • Minimum three years' experience in finance.
  • Excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid financial and business acumen, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management and cost control.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading teams across multiple regions or locations.
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and manage performance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Reasonable knowledge in computer systems and ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
  • Strong ability to collaborate, exceptional communication skills, conflict resolution, compassion.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to a rapidly moving and changing business environment.
