About the position

The Senior Vice President of Operations at Flik Independent School Dining is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing a large team dedicated to delivering exceptional foodservice experiences in school communities. This position requires a visionary leader who can foster a culture of excellence, drive community satisfaction, and achieve business growth while managing financial results and ensuring compliance with policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a diverse team of district managers and regional directors of operations.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to ensure community satisfaction and achieve budgets.
  • Communicate regularly with peers to share processes and strengthen community ties.
  • Set the tone for the organizational culture by ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with partners on regional and division initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Champion talent development through performance evaluations and succession planning.
  • Make key regional decisions with input from the team, weighing risks and rewards.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the team to senior clients and serve as an escalation point for critical issues.
  • Own regional financial results and P&L, ensuring accurate reporting and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and USDA program requirements.
  • Recognize and anticipate marketplace trends to drive retention and growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ten (10+) years of progressive experience in multi-unit foodservice or hospitality management.
  • Proven experience managing a volume of $200 million or greater.
  • Strong background in senior leadership roles with expertise in contract and budget management.
  • Consistent record of business growth and delivering innovation.
  • Exceptional client relationship management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior independent school dining and boarding experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
