About the position

The Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) is a critical leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing strategies for repair, refurbishment, and parts harvesting. This position collaborates closely with sales teams and drives operational excellence while ensuring quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company's repair and refurbishment operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the disassembly, parts harvesting, and reassembly processes to maximize system usability and component value.
  • Develop and implement standardized workflows, procedures, and metrics to track operational performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Optimize supply chain operations, including procurement of raw materials and components needed for refurbishment.
  • Manage inventory of harvested parts to balance stock availability with cost efficiency.
  • Develop partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to support operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create and execute strategies for selling refurbished systems and harvested parts.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for new revenue streams in parts and refurbished product sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to foster business growth.
  • Lead a team of National Support Specialists responsible for Level 3 support via phone or onsite.
  • Responsible for the development of field engineer training and competency measurements.
  • Assist in ongoing evaluation of skill sets needed to support long-term growth.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in operational management within technical service or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in supply chain optimization and business development.
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in developing training programs for technical staff.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and quality assurance protocols.
