In this role, the Senior Vice President will define the structures and operating mechanisms necessary to cultivate a data-driven and continuous learning culture within the organization. They will be responsible for inspecting delivery plans and execution metrics, assessing risks, and continuously raising the bar for engineering excellence. The position also involves building strong internal customer relationships to ensure the delivery of quality products that meet expectations, while identifying and mitigating risks associated with the application and its underlying infrastructure. Compliance with relevant regulatory, security, and privacy standards is paramount, and the Senior Vice President will act as the primary liaison with executive leadership to communicate progress, challenges, and strategic direction. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in digital commerce platform engineering or software development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. They will have a proven track record of managing and scaling high-profile, mission-critical applications, and will be adept at working with senior leaders within Mastercard and with customers, including the largest global banks and fintechs. The role requires deep experience in services and cloud-based technical stacks, as well as exceptional leadership and team-building skills to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Experience in the payments domain is desirable, and the candidate should take pride in the products they build, moving with urgency and being action-oriented.
