The Reporter Video team identifies compelling stories and brings the depth and breadth of our news report onto our site and other platforms through video that features the expertise of our world-class journalists. This is a temporary Senior Video Journalist role for someone who wants to produce, edit and publish short-form vertical videos with New York Times reporters on camera. You'll work with a reporter or reporters on a regular schedule to establish repeatable story formats based on the news. We're looking for a candidate with experience covering politics, a strong news sense, and thoughtful story framing skills. You also have a refined understanding of video production and storytelling, including video editing, writing for narration and social copy, and a clear sense for how to creatively use graphics and animation to illustrate complex ideas. This role is for someone with a deep understanding of social video trends and who takes an innovative and adaptive approach to video formats and techniques.
