About the position

AssetMark is a leading strategic provider of innovative investment and consulting solutions serving independent financial advisors. This position is for a Senior Video Producer, Editor & Motion Graphics Artist who will play a crucial role in creating high-quality video content and motion graphics that align with AssetMark's brand and strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production and motion graphics, with the ability to shoot their own content and act as a Director of Photography. The Senior Video Producer will be responsible for shooting and editing original video content, creating high-impact motion graphics, and delivering videos for various marketing channels and events. This role requires a clear understanding of preferred aspect ratios, frame rates, and rendering formats for optimal viewing and delivery. The candidate will also develop processes and strategies to support efficiency models, training, and deployment of workflows and assets. Collaboration with the Content Director, Events and Media on narrative, visual direction, and execution is essential, as is managing their own workflow of projects from concept to completion. In addition to technical skills, the candidate must possess strong leadership experience, excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in video production and motion graphics is crucial to drive business goals. The role also involves maintaining organized files and assets, adhering to established workflows, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to establish media strategy and align business goals with creative tactics. The work environment is hybrid, allowing for flexibility, and the candidate must be able to accommodate travel approximately once a month. The position requires physical demands such as lifting and moving equipment, and specific vision abilities for video production tasks. The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $130,000, with additional benefits and a comprehensive sales incentive package.

Responsibilities

  • Shooting and editing original video content and creating high-impact motion graphics for various marketing channels and events.
  • Learning about the key video and other media deliverables of AssetMark and what is important to clients.
  • Developing processes and strategies to support efficiency models, training, and deployment of workflows and assets.
  • Developing new creative concepts and collaborating with the Content Director, Events and Media on narrative, visual direction, and execution.
  • Creating visually stunning video and motion graphics content that engages target audiences and aligns with AssetMark's brand and strategy.
  • Understanding preferred aspect ratios, frame rates, and rendering formats for optimal viewing and delivery.
  • Developing narratives and creative ideas to deliver impactful content while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborating to storyboard, script, and produce video and motion graphics projects from conception to completion.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in video production and motion graphics.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure visual content meets expectations.
  • Maintaining organized files and assets, adhering to established workflows to streamline production efficiency.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to establish media strategy and align business goals with creative tactics.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions with marketing partners to develop original and creative solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of video production experience as a Producer/Editor, Motion Graphics Artist, Director, or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in video production, videography, communications, or comparable work experience.
  • Proven leadership experience of creative teams.
  • Strong motion graphics and video editing background, with the capability to shoot content and act as a Director of Photography.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling principles, animation techniques, and design fundamentals.
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into visually compelling content.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, composition, and typography.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across the organization at all levels.
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning new skills and taking initiative.
  • Highly flexible and able to adapt quickly to change.
  • Experience developing a video marketing strategy for social media platforms and optimizing videos for various channels.
  • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Audition, Pro Tools, Media Encoder, and After Effects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with AI tools and processes that can enhance production and post-production work.
