About the position

CapTech's Customer Experience (CX) team is seeking a Senior Visual Designer who has a proven track record of designing sophisticated digital brand experiences that are not only intuitive and impactful but also accessible. This role is ideal for designers who are passionate problem-solvers, dedicated to creating elegant and attractive solutions to complex business challenges. As a Senior Visual Designer, you will be expected to stay current with evolving methods for designing engaging products and services, approaching your training in these areas with curiosity and enthusiasm. In this position, you will leverage your strong conceptual and visual communication skills, along with a solid understanding of interaction design and graphic design principles. You will be a strategic, brand-oriented product thinker, eager to provide highly creative ideas for all your engagements. While you will work within established brand guidelines, you will also have the opportunity to extend the design vocabulary as needed to create more engaging and accessible designs. Your ability to take feedback from clients and direction from Art Directors and Creative Directors, while collaborating closely with project teams, will be essential. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be expected to uphold and deliver work at the highest quality standards. You will also need to demonstrate a proven ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and innovative environment, with some supervision. Your responsibilities will include designing new digital experiences for web and mobile products, enhancing existing designs based on established design systems, and consulting with clients about the benefits of accessible experience and visual design. You will contribute to creating personas, customer journeys, conceptual prototypes, and responsive interfaces that adhere to interaction design and usability best practices, while also researching and understanding design and technology trends.

Responsibilities

  • Design new, engaging digital experiences for web and mobile products.
  • Extend and enhance existing designs based on established design systems.
  • Perform competitive brand assessments and provide innovative alternatives.
  • Consult with clients and team members about the benefits of accessible experience and visual design.
  • Contribute to and create personas, customer journeys, conceptual prototypes, and responsive interfaces that follow interaction design and usability best practices.
  • Create clean, informative, and concise presentations to clients and internal teams that communicate the rationale behind your designs.
  • Research and understand design and technology trends.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years professional experience, ideally in a consulting or agency context.
  • 4-year+ degree, BA in Design, Fine Arts, or similar preferred.
  • Proven written, verbal, conceptual, and visual communication skills.
  • Figma expertise is preferred, with proficiency in comparable design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as PowerPoint.
  • Experience with video editing, motion design, and designing for AR/VR are pluses.
  • Working familiarity with the role of Product Designer is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Agile product development lifecycles and practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WCAG and other accessibility guidelines and standards is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
