About the position

Azimuth Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Visual Information Designer to support a Navy customer in Dahlgren, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award. The Senior Visual Information Designer will be responsible for utilizing multiple mediums to create engaging and informative visual content. This includes digital signage, websites, social media, podcasts, and other communication products. The designer will be tasked with designing and producing technical and artistic illustrations and graphic artwork for various formats such as brochures, posters, exhibits, displays, and logos. In addition to graphic design, the role involves providing design, graphics, and production services for plaques and custom framing/matting. The designer will also perform the design and development of 3-D models, audio, photography, animation, and simulation products. This includes shooting digital photographs, digital editing and production, as well as creating interactive and multi-media products. The Senior Visual Information Designer will be expected to design, develop, and produce physical exhibits, displays, posters, and banners that effectively communicate the intended message to the audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual information design, with a focus on both technical and artistic aspects. They will be expected to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders to ensure that all visual products meet the high standards of quality and effectiveness that Azimuth Corporation is known for.

Responsibilities

• Use multiple mediums, including digital signage, website, social media, podcasts and other communication products.
• Design and produce technical and artistic illustration and graphic artwork for brochures, posters, exhibits, displays, and logos.
• Provide design, graphics, and production services for plaques and custom framing/matting.
• Perform design and development of 3-D models, audio, photography, animation, and simulation products.
• Shoot digital photographs, perform digital editing and production, and create interactive/multi-media products.
• Design, develop, and produce physical exhibits, displays, posters and banners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Communications, Graphic Design, or Animation.
• 7 years of relevant experience in visual information design.
• Expert in designing and developing visual information and graphic art products.
• Demonstrated knowledge and capable of running graphic production equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium OR Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, After Effects.
• Active Secret Clearance.
