About the position

As a Senior Visual Designer at SAP, you will enhance user experience in enterprise software by creating visually stunning and intuitive interfaces. Your role involves translating complex features into user-friendly designs, influencing the design language across the product suite, and championing best practices in design. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and innovation in design patterns.

Responsibilities

  • Design high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and user interfaces that are functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Partner with product managers, design leadership, and engineers to translate complex features into clear, visually appealing designs.
  • Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to produce strategy of experience concepts to final solution.
  • Champion design best practices and establish new patterns for a design system that ensures consistency and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies.
  • Proactively present and advocate for innovative design solutions that improve user experience and product usability.
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in visual design, with a strong focus on UI design.
  • In-depth understanding of design principles, including user-centered design, visual hierarchy, and information architecture.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
  • Ability to grasp complexity quickly and focus on key issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present design ideas to leadership and executives.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural, After Effects a plus).
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of design.
