About the position

The Senior Wastewater Project Engineer at Bowers + Kubota (B+K) is responsible for applying engineering knowledge and practices to manage and coordinate various aspects of wastewater engineering projects. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and contractors. The engineer will supervise a small team of Project Inspectors and Project Administrators, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, direct, and review the work of a small staff of Project Inspectors and Project Administrators.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and requirements.
• Conduct weekly progress meetings and document minutes.
• Review contractor's overall CPM schedule for contract compliance.
• Coordinate projects with Clients, Contractors, and third parties involved with the projects.
• Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to address engineering-related issues.
• Review and process design requirements, RFIs, submittals, and project changes.
• Mentor less experienced team members and provide training and direction.
• Perform work site visits and maintain logs.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Professional Engineering License is helpful.
• General construction knowledge preferred.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, or BlueBeam Revu.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand project contracts, specifications, and drawings.
• Exceptional customer service skills in serving clients.
• Proficient in communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
