About the position

The Senior Wealth Management Business Intelligence Analyst role at RBC is a pivotal position that involves engaging with business partners on various data analysis projects. This role encompasses data engineering and the development of comprehensive data analysis solutions aimed at measuring product and service adoption and utilization. The analyst will be responsible for recognizing business opportunities and surfacing insights through predictive and prescriptive modeling. Additionally, the role supports business growth initiatives by providing comprehensive measurement descriptions that inform strategic decisions. In this position, the analyst will work closely with senior leaders and head office departments to develop data-driven analytical insights. Utilizing tools such as Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Tableau, the analyst will uncover answers to critical business questions and discover valuable insights. The development of measures and metrics for evaluating and tracking the impact and effectiveness of company initiatives is a key responsibility. The analyst will continually seek new ways to develop tools and information that assist the business in measuring and improving its processes, ultimately driving value for RBC clients and shareholders. Moreover, the analyst will ensure that all day-to-day operations and tools supported by the Business Intelligence Services (BIS) are functioning and up to date with current specifications. This role is essential for fostering a data-driven culture within the organization and ensuring that analytical insights are effectively utilized to enhance business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business partners on data analysis projects.
  • Develop comprehensive data analysis solutions including product/service adoption and utilization measurement.
  • Recognize and surface business opportunities through data insights.
  • Conduct predictive and prescriptive modeling to support business growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and head office departments to develop data-driven analytical insights.
  • Utilize Snowflake, SQL, Python, and Tableau to uncover answers and discover insights.
  • Develop measures and metrics for evaluating and tracking impact and effectiveness of company initiatives.
  • Continuously seek new ways to develop tools and information that help measure and improve business processes.
  • Ensure all day-to-day operations and tools supported by BIS are operating and current to specifications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, specifically in the wealth management sector.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years).
  • 5+ years of experience with relational databases.
  • Self-starter with high energy and a driven curiosity to innovate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple key projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring messages to different audiences and handling difficult conversations diplomatically.

Nice-to-haves

  • Snowflake, Python, or Tableau certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience or certification in database administration, accounting, or other data-intensive areas.
