About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Weapons Integration Engineer to join its Air Dominance and Strike (AD&S) team, which is dedicated to developing advanced autonomous air systems that enhance military capabilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful integration of weapons systems onto various platforms, contributing to the overall mission of transforming military operations through cutting-edge technology. The Senior Weapons Integration Engineer will be responsible for the technical execution of integration tasks, which includes developing integration plans, conducting system-level analyses, and interfacing with internal teams, customers, and suppliers. The position requires a deep understanding of weapon systems and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes for warfighters. In this role, you will lead or support the integration, verification, and validation of weapon systems, develop program plans and schedules, and create system architecture designs. You will also be responsible for adjudicating conflicting design requirements, developing technical materials for reviews, and supporting various test events. The position involves maintaining critical documentation such as Interface Control Documents and Software Requirement Specifications, as well as coordinating with customers and engineering groups. Additionally, you will provide support for proposals and manage supplier relationships to procure necessary hardware while identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, with extensive experience in weapon systems integration and a customer-focused mindset. You will be expected to travel up to 25% to support program and test events, and you must be able to obtain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Responsibilities

  • Lead or support efforts performing integration, verification and/or validation of weapon systems onto Anduril or other-party platforms
  • Develop program plans, estimates, and schedules
  • Develop system/architecture designs, perform system level analysis, and generate requirements
  • Adjudicate conflicting design/development requirements with broader team
  • Develop and present technical material for reviews and meetings
  • Support lab, ground, and flight test events
  • Develop/maintain Interface Control Documents, Software Requirement Specifications, Performance Specifications, presentations and review test plans/procedures
  • Coordinate and interface with customers, contractors, and engineering groups assigned to projects
  • Support ongoing operation of the weapons system(s)
  • Provide support for proposals/white papers for future efforts or capabilities
  • Provide direction to design and to technical staff
  • Work with and manage suppliers to develop and procure hardware
  • Identify risks and manage mitigation plans to closure

Requirements

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical discipline
  • 9+ years of combined work experience with post-graduate study in an engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Air-to-Air/Air-to-Ground weapons, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and logical Interface Control Documents
  • Experience integrating weapons, payloads, or avionics onto aircraft
  • Experience with weapon or tactical datalinks
  • Must be customer focused with the ability to formulate and implement plans to resolve technical engineering problems
  • Ability to travel to support program and test events (up to 25%)
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interface with other departments or professionals
