About the position

International Logic Systems is seeking a Senior WebLogic Administrator with a strong background in Java Development. This position is critical for supporting mission-critical projects for the Federal Government, as well as civilian and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in middleware administration, particularly with WebLogic and WebSphere, and will be responsible for analyzing functional business applications and design specifications. The role involves developing block diagrams and logic flow charts, translating detailed designs into computer software, and testing, debugging, and refining the software to meet the required specifications. Additionally, the Senior WebLogic Administrator will prepare necessary documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation, and enhance software to improve efficiency and reduce operating time. The candidate will also provide technical direction to programmers to ensure that program deadlines are met. This position requires a deep understanding of various functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently or under general direction, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills. This role is essential for the continued success of our IT solutions and will contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
  • Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
  • Translate detailed design into computer software.
  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years specialized in WebLogic Administration.
  • Experience as an applications programmer on large-scale database management systems.
  • Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
  • Strong experience in Java/J2EE, Middleware Administration - WebLogic, WebSphere, Micro Services, Struts, EJB, Oracle, PL/SQL, JIRA, and Troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction.
