About the position

The Senior Web/SharePoint Designer will provide DevSecOps and Agile IT support services for the United States Coast Guard's Aviation Logistics Center. This role involves designing, creating, and modifying websites, as well as developing SharePoint systems to enhance operational efficiency. The designer will analyze user needs, ensure effective user interaction, and maintain security controls while responding to help desk tickets and providing resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and modify websites based on user needs.
• Analyze user needs to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity.
• Integrate websites with other computer applications and convert multimedia components to compatible web formats.
• Design and develop SharePoint systems to optimize functions from project inception to completion.
• Analyze problems and define solutions for information processing.
• Build user interfaces for SharePoint sites using various techniques and tools.
• Ensure the 'look and feel' of SharePoint sites supports organizational strategies and facilitates user interaction.
• Design and develop workflows, lists, forms, and dashboards for SharePoint.
• Create documentation, manage content migration, testing, deployment, and user training.
• Standardize SharePoint sites via templates, metadata tagging, workflows, and reporting.
• Communicate effectively with customers and respond to help desk tickets, providing resolutions as needed.
• Maintain and refine permissions and SharePoint groups to ensure proper security controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or related field, or IT Certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with HTML, JQuery, Web Services, and SharePoint Designer.
• Two (2) years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience in an Agile DevSecOps software development environment and methodologies.
• Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 1 for unclassified systems.

Nice-to-haves

• SharePoint Development experience preferred.
