At Raytheon, we are committed to helping our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We are currently seeking a System Administrator to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This position is critical to our mission of making the world a safer place, and the successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, and multi-disciplined environment. The System Administrator will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data, which requires the ability to obtain a top-secret security clearance. The role involves effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows infrastructure for both classified and unclassified programs. Key duties include desktop and workstation installation and configuration, hard disk cloning and imaging, hardware relocation, user accounts management, software installation and support, data backup and restoration, and file and folder access management. The System Administrator will also integrate multi-level security and insider threat mitigation technologies, develop infrastructure and service management concepts, and maintain automation capabilities to streamline and secure technical processes. In addition, the System Administrator will be responsible for developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, planning for capacity, monitoring performance and service availability, administering backups, diagnosing backup errors, and maintaining strict access control to all networks and IT infrastructures. The role requires partnering with application/project/security teams and vendors to plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure, as well as managing client agents for server monitoring and management. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior system administrators and maintain infrastructure security standards for all systems while employing security hardening techniques. Finally, the System Administrator will create and maintain technical and detailed design documentation.
